The resort on the Mallorca Island


Spain has a lot of beautiful places to offer its tourists and Cala Millor is one of them. The eastern resort is very famous for some of the best beaches on the island of Mallorca, as well as other points of attraction for tourists, such as good quality bars, pubs and restaurants. Mallorca is covered with coves, so tourists have difficulty finding a long stretch of sandy beach; Cala Millor is the place where the tourists are able to find everything they need. It is also the place where they can practice water sports such as windsurfing or scuba diving. A big attraction in Cala Millor is the esplanade, which is wonderful for cycling. The esplanade leads tourists to another special place: the Cala Bona village, which is very popular for its restaurants which serve delicious fish dishes.

Cala Millor is famous on Mallorca Island for something that tourists love: the small pleasure boats with glass bottoms. These boats especially astonish the children, who love to watch the fish swimming under the bottom; when the time and the weather permit, the boats can stop at some point on their tour, giving tourists the chance to swim in the sea. For those who prefer land activities, Cala Millor has some wonderful gardens right in its centre. The gardens not only give couples the chance to have a romantic walk, but also offer a few entertainment activities for children in the area. Children can have a lot of fun on the rides and parents can relax while sitting on a nearby bench. The Aquarium is also a place children love, as well as the Drac Caves, the place where they can discover the beauties of nature.

One other big attraction in Cala Millor is represented by the fiestas. The International Regatta is the most famous of them and thousands of tourists visit Cala Millor in October in order to watch the hot air balloon show. Tourism Week in September is marked by parades, a lot of competition and very good music. These fiestas are the perfect opportunity to come into close contact with the culture and the traditions of Spain, a country that has been struggling to keep them alive.
